Okay, we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. So, here it is. A Twilight thread. I'm curious to know what everyone thought of it. So, was Twilight really all the rave that people made it sound like? Or was it not your cup of tea?
Personally, I thought it was pretty good, until I saw all the raving fans that were going WAY over the reasonable limits of insanity and becoming obsessed. I will admit that when I first read the books/saw the movie I was hooked. I kind of liked the idea of a good vampire. Some of the ideas seemed silly to me, but they are just fiction. Still, people seem to be taking it WAY too far. It's ridiculous. I really don't see the point in getting worked up over a sparkly vampire. I mean, the movie was good, but come on, walk up to the actors and saying, "Bite me, Edward, bite me" has to be a sign of some type of insanity.
To all their own, but this was my opinion. It was good, but the raving lunatics about it completely turned me off. I mean three girls got trampled trying to get a peek at the actors. Hello, that's worse that the day after Christmas sale at Wal-Mart. At least people are going to buy something, not just get someone's name signed. Craziness. It's good, but I think people get too swept up in fads.
