how do people become affilates? cause i noticed the affiliates box and i bet loads of people here have sites.

Within the creaking zone of the General Chat there is a section titled "Site advertising." In this section members can advertise any site that they find interesting or are affiliated with. Im not exactly sure how the actual affiliates of this site works, but if a memeber wishes to advertise a site that is the place they can do it.

Becoming an affiliate is different to advertising, Manda.
You have to PM an Admin to request 'affiliateship' with your website name, url, description, age range rating (IE: PG, 18, or PG-13, M, etc.) and a 100x50 mini banner.
We will only accept sites that we think will be popular with the general member set. (IE: We won't accept affiliateship with a law firm, or a carpet shop, for example.)

You need to be aware that on May 7th starting at 10AM your website will be offline. Our Datacenter has alerted us to a power condition that could cause unexpected problems with our infrastructure and they must take down a large number of our servers in order to relocate them to a new part of the Datacenter.
We have told this downtime should not last longer then 1 …
